EJMS Named Beta School of Merit
Ten schools within the Jackson County School System have been named 2025-26 National Beta Schools of Merit, the organization announced last week.
East Jackson Elementary, East Jackson Middle, East Jackson High, Gum Springs Elementary, Heroes Elementary, Maysville Elementary, North Jackson Elementary, South Jackson Elementary, West Jackson Elementary and West Jackson Middle were all named honorees this year.
The National Beta School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. To achieve this prestigious honor, a school must include members from all eligible grade levels in their Beta club. National Beta recognized an outstanding 6,103 schools as 2025-2026 National Beta School of Merit recipients.
The National Beta Club is open to members in grades 4th through 12th and focuses on four pillars of success that include achievement, character, leadership and service.
