JCSS Announces Young Georgia Author Winners

The Jackson County School System has announced its 13 district-level winners of the Young Georgia Authors Competition. Each honoree will advance to the state competition. 

The Young Georgia Authors competition is a state-wide writing competition where students write varying pieces of literature. The following 13 individuals are the JCSS district winners. 

Hudson Eilts (Kindergarten, Gum Springs Elementary School)
Adelynn Pack (First grade, Gum Springs Elementary School)
Nova Tucker (Second grade, East Jackson Elementary School)
Charlotte Fears (Third grade, Gum Springs Elementary School)
Mattox Jeffers (Fourth grade, Gum Springs Elementary School)
Vera Mae Wood (Fifth grade East Jackson Elementary School)
TJ Hart (Sixth grade, East Jackson Middle School)
Lylah Green (Seventh grade, West Jackson Middle School)
